Week of June 12th

This week was finally our film festival, and we hit it off perfectly, however there was a problem with the audio of the cheer documentary.

This week me and film production company talked about what our idea for our new film.

Week of May 29th

This week me and my film companies finished two films.

Week of May 22nd

This week was a very productive week, me and Abby have got some very good shots for our mockumentary and our PSA is almost finished.

Week of May 15th

This week we pitched a new idea for a PSA for our film, and i also decided to come out in another film that is  comedy, and a silent film.

Week of May 8

This week me and my film company finally finished out narrative film and me and abby finished our music video

Week of April 24th

This week me and Abby took some new shots to replace the ones that we could not use, my other film company and I are about 20 seconds of editing away from finishing our film, hopefully it goes well.

Week of April 24

This week my and Abby were finished with our film. However we had some clips that we could not use in our music video, so we have to refill those shots.

Week of April 17th

This week we got a lot more done than last week, We have filmed more than 60% of our film and we are almost done, As for the film that i did with abby we need two more shots and we are finished.

Week of April 10th

This week was a very hectic week, with juggling a lot of the variety show, and cheer practices is been a little troublesome to be able to film this week. The most promising film I have at this moment is the music video i have with Abby. Our music video is coming along very well, we have got about 3 interviews done this week to help coney our message and i think we will have sufficient enough opinions about music. Now all we need to do is edit them into our movie and get some graphics and cool visuals in and we're done with our film. I plan to finish out film by next Friday.

Week of April 3

This week me and my production companies got a little less done this week. In my production company with Abby, we have already most of our film done, we filmed at Santa Monica and got a lot of great stuff that will add to our video, we also decided that we want to have interviews in our film to get different perspectives, the only difficult part about that is to find someone interesting enough to film. In my other production company, we have added and revised our whole script and story board drawings, we are going to film officially this weekend and  hope that we get a lot done to get one step closer to finish our film.

Conflict from a move a life or idea for a film

In the Princess and The Frog the main conflict is that Prince Naveen gets turned into a frog by a voodoo man and tries to get himself turned back into a human being by kissing a princess, but the girl he kissed Tiana was in a princess costume. Unfortunately she gets turned into a frog as well and has to put up with her mucus covered body and small

Week of March 27th

In my film class we have finally moved into production companies, I am working with two groups. One of the groups is the bigger group, together we make up five group members, in my other group it is only two people myself and Abigail. I am more drawn to the visual effects of the video that we will make with Abby's group, however I am also drawn to the narrative and dramatic features in the bigger group which consists of myself, Luz, Karina, Giovanni, and Redoni. This week Abigail and I got through the storyboard drawing and what our film will consist of and what we want in our film and our creative perspectives on the music video. In the bigger production company we have gone through our whole story, we have to finish our drawings, but we have gone through already half of our script and have scheduled when we are going to film our film.

What Music Means to Me

What music means to me is the power to express your feelings in words, what I love about music is the deeper side to the lyrics. The fact that song writers use metaphors and all kinds of literary devices to give a deeper meaning to their words than just those that you hear makes music so much more powerful. I admire music artists and song writers because they can express their feelings through words and that is a skill that i do not have. Another thing that I love about music is that it can affect your mood immensely. If you're sad and listen to a happy upbeat song then your attitude and mood is most likely to change, and vise versa. However, it can also make you remember many memories that you might have    neglected, music is also very influential, many rappers who started out from little towns in big cities and somehow worked their way to the top inspire many kids who strive for the same type of success. The rappers that I really admire are Dom Kennedy, A$AP Rocky, and Kendrick Lamar because they worked their way from the bottom to the top and never forgot  where they came from.

Problems and Struggles

The biggest problem that Bell High Students face are bullying, and torment. Most students here are cruel and think that any kind of abuse is okay as long as its funny. Most homosexual students are constantly pointed out and called many offensive names, but the problem with it is that no one will speak up against it or defend their friend that is being tormented. These students are constantly reminded to "just suck it up" or to "get over it" because its just a joke or they took an offensive slur the wrong way. But, the truth behind the matter is that any kind of the verbal, physical, and/or mental abuse is not okay, as long as the whole school sees nothing wrong with it nothing bad actually happens until something drastic does. People here do not realize that sometimes words can hurt and they do not know the affect it can have on people. Another thing that should not be happening here at this school is demeaning women the words "slut, hoe, whore, and tramp" are tossed around and used to describe girls all too often in this school. Another thing that is a problem here is that too many immature boys ruin the reputation of girls they have had relationships with and it should never happen again. The idea that the whole school is spreading a rumor about her can be life threatening and it should not be allowed at bell.

The Most Interesting Person in the World

The most interesting person that I know is my friend Abby. I think she is a very interesting person because anytime i talk to her i always discover something new about her whether it be that she read a new book or that she recently painted a new picture. She always has something to say, and i really admire how she is so determined to do something great with her life because she has negative and positive influences around her. Her family is also very interesting to me they all come from different backgrounds and different professions and all have unique characters that are a fun time to be around. I've only known Abby for about 4 years but I have never had a dull moment with her we always find something interesting to talk about and if we go out to the beach or with friends we always have many laughs and make awesome memories. She has also been one of my closest friends since the beginning of high school and I would never trade our friendship for anyone else's.

Anti-Drug

My anti-drug would be a mixture of dancing and watching movies. When i watch a movie it takes me away to a different place time and life. Sometimes reading could help as well, but the most inspiring thing about watching movies is that they have influential chractaers who have overcome the hardships of drug and addictions to substances that drag them down to a place where they don't want to be. Another thing besides reading and watching movies is watching plays, seeing someone get emtionial and bring life to a set of words enlightens me, besides all the visual distraction the physicial distraction i have is cheer. Cheerleading keeps me motivated to do good and keep off of the bad substances, i want to be in shape and focused when i do my routine and to keep my flyer out of danger.

The "Inconvenient Truth"

Global warming has been an issue in this country and yet we still ignore it. The united states produces more problems and damage to global warming than all the other countries combined, yet we are the most aware of it and cannot seem to change our bad habits, like littering and not carpooling, however we must see the error in our ways to preserve the planet for the future generations.  Another thing that I learned from the Inconvenient Truth was that the increasing population is a major threat to global warming as well. The more people there are to damage the earth the easier it will be for the earth to get destroyed. However the United States increasing population has a lot to do with the fact that most of the United States causes the global warming harm to the whole planet.  I learned a lot from this movie.
